We use Scoop.it for a different purpose. Our Scoop it account has two language-specific sub groups (Spanish and English) and we use it to feature the original versions of the articles we feature in our web-magazine.

A Social Media Matrix is, basically, a Pirate Pad featuring pre-formatted and ready-to-post Social Media extracts for the days we publish translations (and for later reuse). They're always linked-to from said translation project's Trello cards.
