The GMC Elevator Pitch is designed to help you structure how you talk about and represent the collective efficiently and effectively, depending on your audience. Below are some sample outlines of how to pitch GMC, categorized by target audience.
For general networking/spreading the word
Our values: anti-capitalism, intersectional feminism, Commons, equity, heterarchy, Open Value Cooperativism (explain what it is) etc.
Our model: carework and lovework, as supported/funded by livelihood work. GT as the pilot project of DisCO (see "For potential funders" section below).
Our work: the kind of texts we translate (both in love and livelihood work) and the kinds of clients we have. Our blog: invite them to look at our work and read more
For potential translators
Our values: anti-capitalism, intersectional feminism, Commons, equity, heterarchy, etc.
Our model: carework and lovework, as supported/funded by livelihood work. Value-tracking. GT as the pilot project of DisCO (see "For potential funders" section below).
Our method: Handmade translation (non-use of CAT tools). Always teams of at least two (translator/editor)
Our rhythms: amount of commitment needed to stay active in the collective, lovework requirements, expectations, the onboarding process, etc.

Our services: translation, interpreting, subtitling, etc. Also a chance to plug Guerrilla Graphic and Coding Collective.
Our prices: price tiers and a reminder that a slightly higher rate enables the love work and carework that we do.
